The interior decorator will make sure every time that this TV area ties in with the same chosen style: albeit cottage, country, modern, retro or any other style. Interior decoration always needs to remain one whole.

A TV is not a nice decoration object and the interior designer will always try to camouflage it inside furniture, behind a mirror or in a separate room. The latter is also the solution for a TV area that can be used for reading books or where you can retire with some nice background music.

A separate room still remains the best solution, but it needs to be taken into account beforehand in the interior design, which is usually only possible in case of new builds.
